Traveling through the rivers and lakes of Gabon, I learned about the histories and myths surrounding the waters so vital to life there.

On my return home, I realized there were depths to these legends that I could never fully understand. All I can do is try, and acknowledge my ignorance in the gaps that remain un-illuminated.
